OSS-EC Terms of Use

“We” (Definition of Terms below) provide the “OSS-EC” (Definition of Terms below) to “OSS-EC users” (Definition of Terms below) for the purpose of using the electronic components listed on the “Site” (Definition of Terms below). If a person other than an OSS-EC User (an individual or a corporation or an organization) obtains the OSS-EC in any way, he/she shall be deemed to have agreed to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, please do not use or reference the OSS-EC.

1. Definition of Terms

• “We” or “our company” is Rui Long Lab Inc.
• The “site” is the OSS-EC site (https://oss-ec.com/).
• “OSS-EC users” are those who have agreed to the “OSS-EC Terms of Use”, “Site Terms of Use”, and “Privacy Policy” of this site and have registered as users.
• “OSS-EC” is an abbreviation for Open Source Software for Electronic Components, including the Program and related documents for electronic components provided on this site.
• The “Terms of Use” refers to the OSS-EC Terms of Use.

2. Purpose of OSS-EC

OSS-EC is developed and provided for the purpose of OSS-EC users to use as a reference when developing programs for the electronic components listed on this site.

3. Permission to use OSS-EC

We permit OSS-EC users to use or refer to the OSS-EC as long as all of the “4. Terms of Use of OSS-EC” are satisfied. Use of the OSS-EC means to use or modify the OSS-EC and incorporate it into a computer system.

4. Terms of Use of OSS-EC

• OSS-EC users must use electronic components covered by the OSS-EC.
• OSS-EC users shall comply with the commercial terms and conditions, applicable terms and conditions, and handling precautions for electronic components covered by the OSS-EC.
• OSS-EC users shall confirm and test the conformity and safety of the electronic components covered by the OSS-EC with their intended use and with the regulations corresponding to the region and country in which they are used.
• OSS-EC users shall comply with the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Law and other export-related laws and regulations applicable to electronic components covered by the OSS-EC.
• OSS-EC users shall not use or provide OSS-EC for the development of weapons of mass destruction or for military use.
• OSS-EC users should not allow artificial intelligence (generative AI) to learn OSS-EC.
• OSS-EC users must not redistribute OSS-EC
• OSS-EC users shall comply with “5. OSS-EC Rights”.
• OSS-EC users agree to “6. OSS-EC Disclaimer”.

5. Rights of OSS-EC

Copyrights (including the rights under Articles 27 and 28 of the Copyright Act) and all other intellectual property rights related to the OSS-EC belong to our company. The OSS-EC is protected by copyright laws, international copyright treaties, and other intellectual property laws and treaties.

6. Exemption from liability for OSS-EC

• We provide the oss-ec “as is” and disclaim all liability with respect to this oss-ec, including any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness. In no event shall we be liable for any special, direct, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever resulting from loss of use, data, or profits, whether in an action of negligence or other tortious action, arising out of or in connection with the use or operation of this oss-ec. We shall not be liable for any special, direct, indirect or consequential damages resulting from loss of use, loss of data or loss of profits caused by use or operation of this OSS-EC.
• We are under no obligation to permanently upgrade the OSS-EC or to correct any defects in the OSS-EC.
• We are under no obligation to provide OSS-EC users with technical services related to OSS-EC.
• We reserve the right to change the specifications of the OSS-EC without notice to OSS-EC users. We shall not be liable for any compensation incurred by OSS-EC users as a result of such changes.

7. Changes to these Terms of Use

We reserve the right to change these Terms of Use at any time and for any simple reason. Such changes will be posted in these Terms of Use. In the event of material changes, we will notify OSS-EC users via e-mail (sent to the e-mail address specified in the OSS-EC user’s account) or by means of a notice on the Site before the changes become effective. We strongly recommend that you periodically visit this page for the most up-to-date information regarding these Terms of Use.

8. Applicable law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. The district court having jurisdiction over the location of our head office shall be the exclusive court of settlement in the first instance for any and all disputes related to these Terms of Use.

9. Other

• If an OSS-EC user violates any of these Terms of Use, the permission to use OSS-EC will be automatically terminated. In this case, the OSS-EC user shall destroy the OSS-EC.
• Any matter not stipulated in these Terms of Use or any question arising from the interpretation of these Terms of Use shall be resolved through consultation between OSS-EC and the OSS-EC user.
